From Catalonia in north-east Spain comes this voluptuous red comprised of mostly Tempranillo with a little Syrah. The altitude, climate, rainfall and landscape lends itself to producing a full-bodied, complex wine. After fermenting on its skins in stainless steel to preserve the fruit aromas, it ages 12 months in both American and French oak until it acquires its exceptional bouquet.
This is an exquisite wine with an intense ruby red color with garnet tones. The nose reminds one of jam and red fruits with a touch of oak. The palate is fleshy with a mineral finish that is long lasting. Not as heavy as a California Cabernet, but fuller and richer than a Pinot Noir. Superbly intense!
