Lieu Dit is a project headed by Justin Willett of Tyler Wines and Eric Railsback. Fruit for this is sourced from three different vineyards from the eastern edge of the Santa Ynez Valley in the AVA Happy Canyon. The fruit is picked on the early side, whole cluster pressed into tank and then fermented in both stainless steel and in neutral barrels. After fermentation it is put into neutral barrels for 3 months. The finished wine is mineral-driven, focused and racy that speaks more to Sancerre. Full of flavor (lemongrass, lime, tropical notes) but with energy, restraint and nuanced layers. Purity, elegance, and balance
